Uptown Brass Village is a community on the move and we want you to be a part of it. Join us on July 21-22 for “Banking On Our Community—An Arts Activation Event” hosted at Uptown’s former Chase Bank located at the corner of 23rd Avenue and 63rd Street.
Schedule of Events:
July 21 4:00-9:00pm
Opening Night of the 2-day event! Come and enjoy live music, food and drink and interactive art events highlighting local creatives. Step up to the teller stations for unique artist engagements—get a poem written on the spot, a palm reading, a caricature… Meanwhile meet and greet neighborhood residents, merchants and community supporters. (Perhaps we can include language about the band and the photographer work…)
July 22 12:00-4:00pm
Community “Banking” Day with “Chalk Talk” Mural Painting featuring a display of locally owned businesses and vendors that will be providing samples of local products and services. Come and experience the best of Uptown Brass Village. *We intend to host vendors in the parking lot where the mural will be made, weather permitting.
This event is coordinated by business and resident leaders of Uptown Brass Village, in collaboration with the Kenosha Creative Space and support from Kenosha County UW-Extension and the Kenosha Community Foundation.
