Kenosha Creative Space, Inc. Fundraising Event
(Kenosha, WI) On Saturday, September 24, 2016 between 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm, event organizers will be overtaking the alleyways bordering 5722 Sixth Avenue—future home to the Kenosha Creative Space, for a street festival and alleyway bazaar.
This fundraising event will feature the following events/activities are planned; two stages of Music, Light Show, Outdoor Pop-Up Gallery, Food Court, Kids Zone, Live Performing Acts (Music, Poetry and More), Arts & Crafts Vendors and Demonstrations.
Over 40 local artists are participating in a “Pop-Up” Community Art Project. This temporary installation is comprised of “artistically-enhanced” windows donated by the Kenosha First United Methodist Church. These unique, stylized windows serve as historical artifacts and represent the media for an art competition in which the public is invited to vote for their favorites.
The funds raised by this event will be used to complete structural repairs, including plumbing and electrical upgrades on the building. We have been working with community organizations and now we are asking for your assistance to help us complete our goal for this community-initiated development.
