MAKE MUSIC DAY KENOSHA DEBUTS ON JUNE 21, 2020
Free Outdoor Music Making Events Planned to be Held across Kenosha as Part of Annual Global Celebration
The inaugural Make Music Day Kenosha’s will create a wild and wonderful mix of free musical events on Sunday, June 21. 2020. Make Music Day Kenosha is part of Make Music Day, a global music celebration that takes place on the summer solstice each year and brings people of all ages and skill levels together to make music. This year, over 80 U.S. cities and the entire states of Vermont and Connecticut will host thousands of Make Music performances across the country as part of the world’s largest annual music event. In Wisconsin, Kenosha, will be joining the cities of Appleton, Land O’Lakes, Madison, Milwaukee, Platteville, and Reedsburg.
Make Music Kenosha invites musicians and instrumentalists of all kinds to collaborate on making June 21 a musical masterpiece. Singers, church choirs, jazz combos, rock bands, glee clubs, MCs, marching bands, mariachis, and every other kind of musicians of any age group or skill level, amateurs and professionals, are all welcome. All interested performers can take part by signing up at makemusicday.org/kenosha; registration is free and opens on March 15, 2020 and closes on Friday, May 15, 2020. Likewise, businesses, building owners, schools, churches, and other institutions and organizations can visit the website to offer their outdoor spaces as music making locations.
