In 2022, The Kenosha Area Business Alliance credited Kenosha Creative Space with contributing to the creation of a vibrant community that has helped attract economic investment and talent to Kenosha County. In 2023, The Kenosha County Democratic Party named us the organization of the year for creating an all inclusive creative environment. We are just getting started, and we need your help to continue our mission.

“The work of Kenosha Creative Space, a nonprofit aiming to create economic opportunities for local artists, musicians, creatives, entrepreneurs and other local organizations, takes many shapes.
The organization is behind Create @theSpace, a weekly open jam, creator and studio night; the Kenosha Mural Project, which was recognized by the Wisconsin Main Street Awards program as best public improvement project in 2015; pop-up galleries; Students Spotlight @theSpace, a partnership with Carthage College that provides live music performance and networking opportunities; BeExposed! To the Arts, a series of events showcasing local artists and creatives at different locations; and Creative Space Fest.
KCS has also played a role in helping businesses like Blue House Books, Hot Mess Studios and BLAK Coffee get off the ground by providing physical space and other resources.”
Kenosha Creative Space has launched a community fundraising effort to expand its monetary resources to allow for a greater focus on the organization’s community-building mission.

About the Kenosha Creative Space:
Making Good Ideas Happen
Kenosha Creative Space is the creative core of the city, a magnet for entrepreneurs, artists, and community members seeking an inclusive and resource-rich space to generate and grow their creative visions. Kenosha is a diverse city and that diversity is central to the mission of the Space. Throughout the year the KCS hosts community events and festivals; provides a venue for concerts, readings and art shows; and partners with other non-profits to help creative entrepreneurs problem-solve and develop their ideas, with the goal of establishing arts-oriented businesses within the city of Kenosha.
The Space at 624 57th Street
In art theory, the Third Space is the space between a work of art and the viewer, in which meaning is created. Kenosha’s Third Space is at the corner of 57th and 7th Avenue in the heart of downtown, where creatives and community members can gather, whether at a concert or a workshop, to exchange ideas and do the important work of letting their imaginations emerge.
